 I had high hopes of keeping regular up dates on here.

Language studies and being a mother to 2 busy little ones is a lot of work.  

So I will leave you with lots of pictures.

CAMBODIA

We arrived in Cambodia Saturday evening June 14, 2014 around 10:00 pm. With every piece of our checked in luggage arriving with us. Dewey's (someone who traveled with us) 2 bags he checked did not arrive with him due to a very close connecting  flight he had in the States. But the 2 bags arrived the next day to the Okay guest house were we stayed the first 2 nights after arriving in Cambodia.

After we arrived and got our Visa's and picked up our luggage. We piled 10 suitcases plus all our backpacks and carry on bags into 4 tuk-tuks and we took a ride across the city to the Okay Guest house. The kids were hyper when we arrived and were jumping from bed to bed. the time difference was not helping with going right to sleep as we switched 13 hours ahead of our home country time.

They both had big grins on their faces the whole time.






Sunday was spend walking around the river front and napping. Monday we packed everything back into 4 tuk-tuks and headed across town gain to a house that we rented for 2 months. Another foreign family lives in, but they are back in North America for the 2 months. So we feel very blessed  to have something like this to live in for now.

                                                                

Some of  the different foods we've had since we are here. The dish on the left is yummy. You take one lettuce leaf, piece of chicken, tomato and cucumber and dip it in a sauce of pepper salt and lime juice.

         A busy intersection we watched for a while, while sipping yummy iced coffee in a air conditioned cafe.

Some low class housing in the city we drove by a few times. A lot of homes have a small business out front. they may sell hot food, fruit, meat, or motorbike parts,  

                                         Yes we had to go in and see what a Cambodian Superstore was all about.  Its mainly imported foods from different country's that Cambodia does not produce. This is where you can buy 2 liters of cow milk for $4.30.

J could not wait to make new friends. She has figured out ways to communicate through pointing and a few words she does know already. These are some friends she meet at church on Sunday. the girl closes to her is a orphan child. The other 3 have Christian parents .

We have left Canada Thursday morning Boarded the plane that took us to Chicago where we meet up with 2 others, so we can all travel together. We arrived in Doha, Qatar. around 6:00 GMT. It was a 13hr and 45 minute flight that went by very fast. (It helps to be sleep deprived before you flight a long flight.)  ;) We board our Flight to Phenom Phen Cambodia at 8:00 in the morning. I do believe its a 12 hour flight.  Thank you to all who have been praying for us.  Next update will be from Cambodia Lord willing.

life over the last month + ...

This family is feeling a lot like gypsy's. We have been traveling around so much lately, But we have enjoyed seeing friends and family and making lots of memories.
We left  EBI on March 14, 2014 and headed out to South Carolina and North Carolina. Where we visited friends and took Different courses at Equip International,

This girl celebrated her 5th birthday. She really enjoys building with legos.  And does very well with following directions in building things.

We also spent some time in Georgia. We have many great memories in the sunny south. I felt very blessed to be able to spend time with 2 very dear ladies who have been an great encouragement to me over the last 10 years.

Time was short in Virginia with some team members, we got to meet 2 adorable little guys,   J and B (and there parents) could not get enough of the 2 little guys. 

Friends are some of life's greatest blessings.

The children got to meet Great-grandma for the very first time. This dear lady is very special. So glad we were able to spend time with her. She took us to see the Atlantic ocean the children saw it for the very first time in real life,

 In Pennsylvania the kids had fun getting rides in there cousins cart with the pony pulling them around.

On our way up to Ontario we stopped to see Niagara Falls. 

The kids didn't like the walking in the cold very much. I guess we lived in the south long enough our blood is to thin. We had to bring out the winter clothes this last week.

Our life for the next 2-3 weeks will be traveling back to Alberta. Then getting ready to fly out to Cambodia on June 12,2014.  Thank you everyone who has been praying for us. God has been guiding us along this Journey, and we want to give him praise and honor for everything.

Our Life at  EBI is coming to an end. The final week is about to begin. And Life will change again for our little family. The children will miss all there new friends, they see everyday.

These 6 kids hang out everyday, between 1:50 and 2:45. The favorite thing is to push each other around in strollers, and play house in the front hallway. Play doh, puzzles, kicking balls around the gym, and reading books, are a fun pass time as well.

This little girl had a "valentines" date with her favorite guy. She choose burger king and then went to Walmart  to buy a "purple" tiara. They had a great time made lots of fun memories.

These 2 princesses were happy to see each other again. even tho it was just for a weekend.  

  

One evening we had a Tornado Warning in the County of the school. So we had some close fellowship that evening, including hot stuffy humid air.

We are really enjoying getting to know our future team mates for Cambodia. The Girls were able to spend some "bonding" time one afternoon.  We had many good laughs and just a great time together. We are really looking forward to working together to further Gods Kingdom in Asia, where we feel God's calling us.

This is a small look into our life the last month and half. We are so thankful to God for providing our every need in the months since we have been homeless.

Birthday.

It's crazy how fast time is going. Our baby turned 3 the end of January. I had ever intention of blogging about his special  day when the memories were fresh in my mind.

The night before his birthday he was laying in bed practicing holding up 3 fingers. 

the next morning he came bouncing out of his bed saying  I'm three, I'm three!

John took him to wal-mart to pick out his birthday cake. and he chose carrot cake because of the carrots on the top. They also brought candles back that relight (three year old's can't read yet. lol.) after you blew them out. Needless to say the top of the cake was moist by the time the candles were removed from the cake.

B has been begging for legos since Christmas. I am looking forward to many quite hours of him playing legos in the coming years.

Some thing about turning three makes him feel like a big boy.  We have been using it to our advantage too. :)
